Equicast 2" X 4 Yards This size tape (2") should be used on ponies and horses up a size 0 shoe or a hoof size 4 1/4" wide buy 4 1/2" long. Equicast can either go on the hoof with no shoe, or with a shoe, either over the cast or under the cast. Cast with no shoes would be appropriate for ponies and horses in light work. Cast over shoe, this would be appropriate for ponies and horses in moderate work or hooves that have prolapsed soles (no heels). Shoe (Glue) over a cast, would be appropriate for ponies and horses in solid work, shoes over cast, are very similar in traction and wear to horses regular shoes.

Equicast 3" X 4 Yards This size tape (3") should be used on horses size 1 shoe or a hoof size 5" wide buy 5" long. Equicast can either go on the hoof with no shoe, or with a shoe either over the cast or under the cast. Cast with no shoe, would be appropriate for horses in light work. Cast over shoe, this would be appropriate for horses in moderate work or hooves that have prolapsed soles (no heels). Shoe over cast, would be for horses in solid work, shoes over casts are very similar in traction and wear to horses wearing regular shoes.
